Hi,
Would anyone know whether PhotoVCarve would drive the Roland RX-50 Spiral Axis Engraver.
I have downloaded the trial version of the software, but I don't think the trial version can drive
any machines until it's a fully paid functional software.
Any suggestions, advise would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Roland RX-50 Spiral Axis Engraver
Hi Sapandy,
The Trial Version of PhotoVCarve does include drivers for most conventional CNC machines and you can cut the sample files supplied, plus load and cut your own photographs but these will be watermrked.
The Roland RX-50 Spiral Engraver operates in a very different way to most cnc machines. The job rotates like a record player and the cutter moves slowly inwards from the outside to the middle of the job. The only way this machine can be driven is by using the software that is supplied by Roland with the machine (as far as I'm aware). The toolpaths needs to be a spiral pattern and this is not possible with PhotoVCarve.
The Trial version does include drivers for most of the Roland Engraving and Milling machines.
Tony
