Hi Mark,
V-Carve Pro includes a post processor for your machine.
Have you found this or are you saying it won't work correctly with your machine?

Hi Tim
Thanks for your reply
We have just brought this scm machine
It's being installed as we speak.
Everyone has been saying to me that Vectric won't work and if it did I won't run the tool changer.
But every one telling me this, is trying to sell me a very expensive software package.
They all say Vectric won't speak to xilog on the scm machine.
Hence why I came on to the forum.
I guess the best way is to down load the trial and try it.
Many thanks mark

Hi
I have recently been wrestling with this problem myself. The pratix 48 postprocessor did not work at all for me (i.e it didn´t even output any code). I have a SCM record 120 1998, and I have been using the Pratix 15 postprocessor(slightly modified though).
I cant use the XXL-file directly so here is how I do it: first i save my progam using the Pratix 15 pp as a XXL on a USB drive (or wherever), then i open WINXISO (propably located under C:/XILOG/XISO) then I browse my file and press "compile" and winxiso output a perfectly usable pgm-file for my machine. You will propably have to fiddle around for a while before you succeed.
Hope this helps

Thanks for reply
I haven't got to try anything yet we have a fault with the Cnc at the moment so need to get that sorted first.
Do you run a tool changer on your machine ?
Hope to get it all fired up on Tuesday fingers crossed
Many thanks

Hi
I am trying to get the post to work for the drilling head. For some reason the drilling head seems to be called up by drill diameter rather than tool number. Is it possible to call up a drill diameter during a program
