I have a dual z shopbot, never used it before. I will be upgrading this shopbot with a 4g board to increase resolution and speed. I would like to use the dual z but really don't know what processor to use and how to use it. If I read the processor list correctly I think I would have to put the toolpaths I want on the second z to shopbot2axis processor, Am I thinking right?

Bob...
That is correct. You can also use the SB TC inch post. That will allow you to use single (or multiple) bits in each head, and post to one file, instead of one file per head.

ShopoBot has a lot of info and a number of files that can help you set up the offsets for the second Z. You will need to calibrate and store these offsets to enable accurate cutting for the A axis. Good Luck

Re: Shopbot dual z post processor
Gary,
I will checking into that. I am doing a complete upgrade with the motors, rack, pinions but surprisanly, a 4g upgrade would not make that much of a difference on my 1994 prt. Thats what they told me and I am sure thankful for Chris at Shopbot for stearing me in the right direction. Even though I have been using it for about 5 years I really don't know how to use the machine and all the capabilities of the machine. Hopefully, I will really start to get into it.
Thanks once again
Bob
