Z moving out of limits

Post by tomwade »

I'm running EMC2 on a Bridgeport.

It's setup so that Z 0 is always at the top of movement. The "G Code Inch" pp always adds the safe travel height above the top of travel, or say Z0.350, for example.

How can I rewrite the pp to always keep Z lower than 0 ?

Thanks

Tom

Hello Tom, Z axis is only 0 when you referance it. Normally you bring your z down so the bit either touches your work or table (which ever you use) then you zero the Z axis. Now you have plenty of room to back up to that safe Z setting.
