How many unwraped vectors can you use on one rotary part?
Also is there a way you can define where each unwrapped vector starts and stops along the sweep?

I have used as many as nine. I don't know what the limit is.
No you can't position them. This is probably where breaking the model down into sections and then rejoining would allow for more flexibility with spacing,
Also for the rejoins to blend together, I think you would need a minimum of three unwrapped vectors per section.

Thanks for the responce.
When you used 9 how or what were you going for? What kind of result did you end up with? I know the order in which you select them is how they lay out in the project.

For that many vectors the shape is most likely going to be complex, and the spacing of vectors is going to need to be other than even.
I have found if the shape I want is more than the most basic, then I am much better going straight to a 3D CAD program.
