greg
I have attached some screen shots showing that i removed all post processors that i do not need and made sure the one marked mach3 Y to A is there.
Then i set up for a 3.5 square x10inch and would like it rounded out at 3.0 x10 in.
using a 1/2 end mill, then created the toolpath and tried to select mach 3 Y to A in the post p selection but as you see a screenshot in aspire that selection is not there, its changed to X to A,is there something i am doing wrong.
Secondly is the rounding selection the correct way of doing this
Also i attached the end result and it also states its a X to A
Thanks
rounding a piece ---att greg
problems with mach3 and the wrap/rounding
looking at all the posts on this title i feel there is a bug in the mach3 Y to A post processor selection,a few have written but its a hard thing to describe so the Vectric staff cannot see what they are saying, have a look at my screen shots and i have narrowed down the selections so when you select a post processor you do in fact select Y to A but in aspire it does not show that selection but shows X to A ,there is no X to A in the post p directory in my loaded aspire program as i removed all un necessary post processor selections.

Looking at the second pic you have posted above, your rotary axis is in line with the X axis. Is this correct?
If so then you need to wrap Y values around X and the PP you are selecting is the wrong one.
The file that should be in your PP folder, is named, Mach2_3_X-A_ATC_inch.pp
This will appear in Aspire PP selection list as, Mach2/3-WrapY2A ATC(inch)(*.txt
This is not a bug. Four Mach wrap PPs are provided.
You don't really need to delete any of them. (Must admit that I do)

Stan,
Did that get you up & working?
The naming is certainly confusing. I think I would have named the PP
Mach2_3_XandA_ATC_inch.pp rather than
Mach2_3_X-A_ATC_inch.pp
and in pp folder & in Aspire
Mach2/3-X_WrapY2A ATC(inch)(*.txt in the selection list.
Glad it is you having the trouble as it will save me (and possibly others) from having it.
Good thing Greg has it figured out!!!
