I just set up my new rotary indexer. I set the file up to run in the X axis. I used the wrapping gadget and selected the raster machining method. The indexer is rotating 360 degrees, the router is advancing in the Y axis about 0.1" and not at all in the X axis.
Before connecting the indexer I have run the machine for about 16 years without any similar issues. Something is wrong and I don't know where to look.
The machine is a Shopbot Benchtop PRT, 4G.

X Y axis reversed on rotary file
Re: X Y axis reversed on rotary file
I think the problem is with the Post Processor. The preview in Aspire looks fine. The Shopbot software has it's own previewer which shows a different preview than Aspire. There is only one PP indexer for Shopbots.

Re: X Y axis reversed on rotary file
It is very easy to modify or clone a post processor. It is just a text file that you can edit using Notepad. I can walk you through the process. There is only one PP indexer for Shopbots.
Is the indexer parallel to the X axis or Y axis?
Is it set up on the A or B axis?

It looks like ShopBot tech support got you up and running. Let me know if you need anything further.

I would still like to learn how to write/edit post processors. Do you have a source?
