Unwrap Vector

Post by mfirlott »

Hi everyone...

I've been away from rotary work for a bit and this evening, I decided to work on a cane. But I've bumped into a problem it seems. No matter what shape I pick, circle or rectangle, the Vector Unwrapper Gadget no longer seems to work. It gives me an error message which I've attached here.

Has there been an update or something. It used to work just fine for my last cane??? Or am I having a brain freeze (if so, I've also attached my test file).

Thanks...

To unwrap a vector it has to be in the center (centre) of your job and it has to be smaller than your job size.
Hopefully that should take care of not getting an error.

Regards,
James

Thanks again James! That was it. Bigger than job size and not in center. And as an LOL moment...that's EXACTLY what the help file said that I re-read tonight. Sad times but it's almost my birthday so I forgive myself.

Happy birthday!!! Are you cutting the cane for yourself as you see another birthday coming?

LOL.....Yup. To show that I can walk with a cane and don't need wheels. Wheels scare me as I live on a hill and the Mrs. has an evil grin lately.
