I was approached by the local person putting on the banquet for Ducks Unlimited to donate a carving for their auction.
I used a stock scene from the Design Carve disks.
The carving is maple wood and the framing is white oak.
I hope they like it.

John,
Be prepaired, as I'm sure your phone will be ringing of the wall.
Looks Great.

John,
That looks superb. Did you do any glazing when you did the finish work?

Thanks for the comments.
The finish was done with 4 colors of gel stain. I used the glazing technique that is listed in the Aspire section of this forum.
The wood was sealed with shallic before any staining was done.
Every one I do is a learning experience.

Well it looks as if you've mastered the glazing, can't wait until we get to see what you get up to next.
Paul
Thanks
