Design & Carve Projects and Scenes

Post by andyb »

Here are some things that I cut from the Design & Carve packages to sale at a local festival. We got a lot of comments on the carvings. We were asked by a promoter for another festival to participate in their November festival to show our work.

The Forrest, Mountain and Waterfall scenes were all cut with a 1/4" ballnose. We attached a frame around them then stained. Quick note on the Mountain Scene, the carving has lines in it like the stepover was set to high. Not sure why but the effect is really neat if you see it in person.

The Cattle Drive scene is a coat rack. Cut with a 1/8" ballnose. Will left the hangers off to offer the purchaser to pick between several different styles of hooks that we had.

We had two of the Cowboy Fences. One we added hooks to for a key rack. Both cut with an 1/8" ballnose.

The Leafman is 1.5" thick Maple. Cut with an 1/8" ballnose.

RoutnAbout,
Thanks for the comments.

Cowboy,
The sky was already part of the scene. If you have the scenes and Aspire you can cookie cut them and then try to use them.
