Grizzly and Cub's

Post by buck4 »

Attached is a simulation of a design for a customer, who wants this carved into a wooden gun case. Also a sample of the carving for the customer. Sorry if the photo isn't very good, my camera got stolden, and I'm learning the settings on this new one. These are my first pictures taken.

Hi Buck,

Nice job! How large, what bits and how long did it take you?

Thanks

Job size is 13"x7" carving is 11" x 5" in Red Oak.
Rough 60ipm and Finisned 40ipm both with a .125" bullnose.
Time was approx 3.5 hours start to finish. I run my machine a lot slower than most.
He is also requesting other designs, one for a bird hunter, deer slayer, etc.

I can only thank, the Aspire Team and Mr. James Booth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buck - great stuff, excellent to see the layouts you are putting together. Did you get any photos of the parts which were fresh off your machine when I was there for your camp?

Cheers,
James

Hi James, thanks for the kind words. But no I did not receive any photos, when you have the time please try again to: buck4@tds.net

I took the grizzly profile, cut its head off, then shorten the body some and re-attached the head at a different angle for the first cub. On the second I cut off the legs and just re-attached them again at a different angle.

Sorry Buck - I should write better English :) - what I meant was did you take any photos of the parts once they were finished? I have got a couple unfinished shots I will email to you though.

Cheers,
James
