Motor Tuning
Hello, I have upgraded my controller from Mach2 to Mach3. My motors ran fine in Mach2 and when I upgraded Mach3 they do not function properly. I cannot seem to get them smooth running without jerking, can anyone help me? I am really confused on this. Also my z axis does not seem to cut to the depth I set with V Carve Pro. Like I say I am really, really confused on this. Should I go back to Mach2 where the only problem I had was with the Z axis cutting depth. My z setting in Mach2 was 1000 steps per inch with 5 TPI. Thanks

Fred in order to run Mach3 you will HAVE to configure it MANUALLY. You cannot do an auto upgrade from Mach2 to Mach3.
Copy all your configuration settings down from Mach2 and then run Mach3. Then manually configure Mach3 to your machines settings. That should get Mach3 going. Once you have upgraded to Mach3 THEN all future upgrades will be automatic.
Hope that helps (;-) TP
If you have a Mach2 license file it will work with Mach3 also. No need to buy a new one.
Did you happen to save your configuration files?
