"y" axis problem

Post by copperhead4321 »

I'm having a problem w/ the "Y" axis on my cnc shark pro. When I rapid jog in the Y it is real "jerky" or rough. It doesn't do that in the "X" axis though, any ideas out there? Could the servos? be out of alignment and if so how are they adjusted?

I had problems with my CNC shark loosing steps and someone recommended applying silicone spray to the screws after every couple jobs to prevent sticking.

Of course, everyone seems to have problems with the Shark wiring connections from time to time. There's a chance that you have a loose pin in one of the completely inadequate plugs they use in the motor wiring.

the ball screws are connected the the motor shaft by a coupler.
it has 2 set screws. just make sure they are tight. mine were loose and i had that problem.
yours could be tight,if they are, then email tim. if they are loose, easy fix.
