Combing tool paths
When using Aspire to save combined topaths I'm not geting the speed change on x,y in the second and following toolpaths. Thus I have to change the speed manualy. Is there something in the post or program that can be changed in order to get the correct speed written into the G code of following cuts?

Re: Combing tool paths
I think you need "NEW_SEGMENT" in the post processor to recognise feed rate changes in combined toolpaths.
It's covered on page 19 of the post processor guide. http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6213

Re: Combing tool paths
hello
when you define tool for toolpath, check always the feed, when programs (aspire,vcarve,cut2-3d) write code out jointly, merged they write in each toolpath you set when you calculated them...
i hope it helps you
thanks

I tried the "NEW SEGMENT" and no luck. Not sure were to go from here. Either I didn't edit the post correctly for this to work or it just dosn't get the job done. I'm realy surprised that no one else has experienced this.

Re: Combing tool paths
I've just done a test file using the ShopBot post processor (which includes the NEW_SEGMENT code) and it appears to work by looking at the generated SBP file.
Have a look at the ShopBot processors to see if your changes look like those.

I also did some testing and found that i get Z speed change but no XY speed change. Looks like i need to do some more exerimenting. Wouldn't you know i hardly ever change the Z speed but change the XY all the time.
