Multiple passes

Post by Dukie94 »

How do I manually add multiple pass to a toolpath?
My material is a !/2" with a 1/8" bit. Hit save toolpath.
The toolpath only runs one pass. This is cutting too much
material. How do I add 1,2 or 3 passes to the toolpath
so I may cut less material at a time?
Thank you!

Pass depth is a setting in the tool description. Once you select a tool there should be an Edit option which will open up a menu where you can set the pass, feed speed, etc., just for that cut. In profile or pocket there is also a passes option where you can set the number and spacing of each pass.

This presumes you are using Aspire or VCarve pro.

Also, In your tooldatabase, set your pass depth to what you want...Then press apply, and that will be that cutters default pass depth Unless you edit it.
