mach3 help.

Post by rej »

hi.
I ran a shopbot for 5 years and now I have mach3 for my new machine.
I want to hire someone to come here and train me on the mach3.
I will pay travel and 500.00 for the day. I should be fine with one day of training.

if you live in the Midwest that would be great. I am near Indianapolis.
I use aspire solely for design. I want to run a 2d and a 3d file.
thanks

If you have been running a machine for 5 years then mach3 should be pretty easy to learn. Did the machine come fully set up with mach3 or have you got to do that yourself? What screen set did it come with because a lot of people like to change from the default screen & there are one or 2 very good screen sets available for pennies.

the machine is being built now for me.
it will be set up, all I have to do is load the disk in my computer.
but I need someone here to get me going and teach me the ins and outs of it so I can avoid any costly errors
I always find it less expensive to learn the easy way instead of the hard way.
must not be many mach3 users here.

Mach 3 is pretty easy, especially if you have the people manufacturing your machine supply you with the settings. After you setup your settings, calibrate the axis under the Setting (Alt 6) tab.

Do you have s specific challenge?
It appears that you wish to get an overview of how to run Mach 3.

What I did to learn it was download it, and play with it on the computer without it driving the router.
It only took a couple of hours and I had almost all the top ten needs and desires learned. It really is that simple.
If I can learn it in a couple hours then you can learn it much faster.
However if you wish we could arrange a phone call.

You can download a trial version of mach3 for free then as has been said get a feel for how it works without it even being connected to a cnc machine. Can't make any costly mistakes that way lol, if you still feel you need a bit more guidance then you can at least compile a list of questions to ask if someone comes forward to help out with the training.
Get registered on the mach support forum as they are pretty helpful on there as well.
