Mach 2 Depth Problem

I am using Mach 2 and all of a sudden my z axis is plunging into the material and cutting at a greater depth than what is set. Could someone please help me on this? if it would be easier to explain by phone let me know. Thanks

Need a little more information, are you using servos, or steppers? What type of machine?, this would be a start, and narrow things down a bit.
