Hi Nick,
I'm glad to see you got it moved no problem. That shop looks like it will be much more roomy than a garage might be, although the shot of your garage appeared to be bigger than the simple 2 car garage I have! Thanks for posting the pictures! Be careful, the better 'halfs' picture is getting more hits than the machine.
Best regards,
Wes

Wes: it is a 900sqft three car not to much bigger than a two car.... But it got me to the bigger shop and I didn't have to answer to anybody but the big boss in the bikini!! Now she will finally be able to use the garage I built for her!!

Tim: I am way to fat and hairy to be seen in my bikini!!

Don: I had some 1/2in ac ply here and it made the perfect "road" and I did get a big splinter from it cause I'm a man and dont wear no gloves!!
Must be the photo angle it is just a little up hill not to much though!

Those dollies have paid for themselves 100x over!!!

The new shop is 2400sqft with a spray room and a whole bunch more room to stack and lean crap in!!

Nick,
I spent the first two years working out of my garage so I know the relief you must feel. With all of the other stuff in there I didn't have enough room to cuss a cat without getting a mouth full of fur. Our first move was also into a 2400 sq ft shop and I thought it was as big as all outdoors...until it got too crowded.

Two questions: First, what make router is that? Second, do you have the dxf file for P1010196.JPG ?

Regards,

Joe

SORRY GUYS!!!! I lost the dxf and the stl when my laptop crashed

My router is a Vortech it has been good even though I had a few problems with it when I first got it.....
Yes it is Chinese but it is pretty solid and has a vac table and 6hp water cooled spindle.

I am starting to look for a bigger router now 5x10 and would like a toolchanger type.
Unlike Jim I do not need more than one router in my shop at a time

Jim they all get paid very well for their service(recent trip to the beach etc)

Jim are three tools enough or do you wish for more?
I have been looking at the camaster and Vortech also has a toolchange router w/8 tools we will see if they respond to me this week(Vortech).
I talked to Joey several months ago and really like those but I really like Mach3 and don't know about using Wincnc.
Is it similar???
Thanks,
Nick

joey has tool changers as well, some times i wish i had 4 tools but it is rare i can do mdf doors with three, joey has said he can build a two z machine with two on each, the multihead is faster than tool changing and has served very well we are putting two heads on the new one as it is dedicated to 3d and 4rth axis,, recently i put a jacobs quick chuck on one of the side routers so changing one bit is no big deal, the single biggest reason for the wincnc in my world it being able to operate online while the controller is wotking it has a daughter board and is therefore off the computers mother board we can teach, adjust and operate the machines remotely
