Why should the video card make a difference to the generation time? Once the toolpath creation is complete, yes, zooming in and rotating the model with the wireframe paths wrapped around it will consume GPU cycles.

First I appoligze, I overlooked you were talking about Cut3D.
I don't have Cut3D but I created a toolpath using VA3D-Machinist. My results are not valid as I'm sure this program does not utilize 4 cores and/or 64 bit. But for grins it took 1:24 min to create a 12 mb file toolpath file. Lookes like my maching is not all that fast.
