plunge speed

Post by mlowka »

It there a way to slow down the bit movement up? The plunge is set to 150mm/min and it's perfect, but the bit moves too fast when its going up and leaves grooves before and after tabs- how can I change it?

It's not the plunge speed that causes those grooves it's machine or bit deflection as the side load on the bit changes.

Try 3d tabs instead as they reduce the effect for machines that are prone to it.
