Hello,
I am new to the cnc world. I am a wood worker and just purchased a china cnc this christmas. Today I was cutting out a heart from a piece of walut when the spindle broke. So I am looking for a new spindle, so could I get some suggestions on what spindle I should get. Money is an issue so I will have to stay with an air cooled one. The one that broke was a 400 w spindle. I would like to go bigger but I do not know where to look or what to look for. So could someone please help me?
Thank You,
Dennis Killian

Re: Spindle Choice
When you say the spindle broke what do you mean ? If it just stopped working then it could either be the spindle or the VFD at fault, you need to determine which before you go spending any money
There are a few posts about spindles on the forum already so a search might throw up some useful info for you.

Re: Spindle Choice
Those 400w "spindles" are not much more than a motor with a spindle shaft attached.
If you want something better, you'd need to step up to something like this.

The cheapest route would be a laminate trimmer, which would still be much better than the 400w spindle that came with the machine.

Re: Spindle Choice
Do you have a warranty on the machine?
You should contact the company and ask for a new spindle.
