Good writeup Leo, glad they worked out for you. The 1 thing you didn't and couldn't cover, resiliency, can only be gauged with time.
I personally very much consider the "made in USA' angle as well, that is obviously up for individuals to decide. Put it this way - I'd hate to see the day when the only option for bits was asia.

Interesting report Leo thanks, I think the key to all this is what you said here:
Reliability / Repeatability wise - I don't know, but based on these 5 cutters, visually, they all "look" the same and they all "look" good. They ARE CNC ground and the Chinese ARE learning to do better quality. I have a high level of confidence that they will be repeatable
Finding the right sellers is I still think the key, problem is that it is so easy to set up & manufacture stuff in China that even the reputable Chinese Companies are getting their good cloned
If you have found a supplier of Bits that are good quality & at an attractive price then that's great but I wouldn't expect all the cheap Chinese bits being sold on auction sites to be of the same quality, looking forward to seeing how others get on with their cutters

China is forever changing and being able to get the same thing from the same seller will be a challenge and not an expected result.
I plan to stock up on the sizes I need.
This user forum in only partly USA populated, but I think the sentiment would be similar elsewhere as well. I REALLY want to support USA manufacturing. After all that if my profession. I am a manufacturing engineer and I watch USA companies closing the doors all to often. HOWEVER, the cost of cutters is HIGH, particularly when we are active in the hobby and wear out the cutters. I recently bought 6 cutters on the USA market and paid $244. I also bought 5 of these Chinese cutters and paid $45. I really WANT to buy USA, but the price difference is just too much to ignore.
I plan to stock up on the sizes I need.
