Have you considered the notion of building your own machine? I built a Joe's 4x4 hybrid, it cut's and performs like any of the above mentioned machines at a fraction of the cost.

If you want to build, consider the mechmate also, but I am getting good service out of the shopbot. A decent machine pays for itself easily if you put it to work. Maybe one day with the profits from using the bot, I may buy a nicer machine. If you have the space, buy a bigger machine. I have a 4x8 and will go 5x10 next time around.
