It appears that it will use standard G-code so you could still use Vectric for 3 axis work.

That would be awesome! Looks like they'll cost around $3500. If they're strong/precise enough to machine the little V8 engine block, that $3500 is not so much.

The farther the bit gets from support the stiffer its support need to be. I wouldn't trust the big frame design to cut to the same fine tolerances the small design can. Then again you won't be cutting any large foam models with the little green machine.
