This is not a CNC or Vectric question but I thought some one might be able to help me.
I'm looking for a good remote computer sign on program. I'm setting up my mother in laws new computer and I want to sign on to her computer from my house to help her with problems.
She has a direct connect cable internet and so do I.
I would like to be able to sign in without her doing anything if possible. I have windows 7 and she will have windows 8.
I did this years ago but don't remember which program I used and thought they may have better programs now anyway.
Can anyone help.
Mark

Re: Remote Computer sign on
My wife uses Team Viewer to perform computer maintenance on her parents computers, but I'm pretty sure they have to allow access each time by opening the program on their computer. Once that is done she can access their computer and perform update stuff etc.
This is also what those annoying phone scammers try to get you to do when they claim they are doing you a service.

Used to use one called tightvnc: http://www.tightvnc.com/
A google search for VNC shows several others

Re: Remote Computer sign on
TeamViewer it is....free for personnel use. I use this to aid my 83 year old Uncle, who live across town. You have to install the program on both computers and set up passwords and set permission to allow access from Your computer.
All that is required from the "Helped" computer, is to have them hit the OK button once you have disconnected from them.
Great Program.....real time and gas saver ha ha
cheers
