Touch plate on the Piranha

Postby mickey222 » Mon Dec 22, 2014 4:21 pm

Where does the touch plate connect to the Piranha ? It looks like it could be the controller or the display. Thanks for any help.

sorry don't know. But if you post this same questions over at the shark forum,
Tim Owens from nextwaveautomation will often chime in.

The touch plate does not work plugged into the controller, it needs to plug into the small display. The system does not see the touch plate plugged into the controller but works just fine when plugged into the small display unit.

well then that means the plug in the controller will be for the digital probe.

Depends where you want the z zero to be. If you have z zero set to Material Surface then a touch plate is placed on top of the material. If it's set to Table Surface then it's placed on top of the spoilboard.
