Commercial CNC Systems building boats

Post by PaulRowntree »

This has nothing to do with Vectric products (that I know of) but I found this very cool. Moderators : feel free to flush if you wish ...

This link is to a promotional video of the making Bavaria yachts. At 1:10 they show very sophisticated CNC systems auto-aligning to decks and making the necessary modifications, then at 3:20 the woodworking starts up. I was very impressed by the level of sophistication available in a large scale high-tech operation. The sailboats are pretty cool too, but somewhat out of my range ....

Cheers!

I hate to be the one to have to program the CNCs in that yacht shop.
