Shuttle Pro

Post by Leo »

I am using the Shuttle Pro and I am very happy with it. I don't want to stop using it.

It is NOT made for the "shop" environment and as a result I lost one of the clear plastic button covers and it seems that I must have gotten dust inside - so some of the buttons need to be pressed real hard to make them work. Can it somehow be cleaned? Can I get new covers?

What do other people use?

Leo,

Yes, you can clean out your ShuttlePro:

Or if you want to go all the way on a redo, try this:

My ShuttlePro is happy inside of its new case, and so am I.

Angie

ps - looks like I dumped my old SP case, or I would send you the plastic covers...sorry.

the shuttle pro cord is way to flimsy.
I have two here and changed the cord on both of them to a standard usb cord.
The buttons seem to go bad but the cord is sometimes at fault as well.

In my experience, the internal buttons on the shuttle pro circuit board are robust - none of mine have failed after three years of use. It is usually either dust or those mechanical connections to the external buttons that fail. So far, my original USB cord is good, but changing it to a more hardy cord is certainly a good idea...I did put a "knot" in it before it comes out of the case - this allows a certain amount of strain relief.

Angie - thanks.

I got to the knobs and didn know what to do.

They pulled right off.

I didn't see much dust, but there was a tiny bit.

I'll try it over the weekend.

Thanks.
