Randall,

Can't wait to hear all about it! I have a Gary-made machine (Sidewinder) and love it. This small beast certainly has my attention!

This is fun to follow! The unfolding of a new machine coming to life!

More pics (and video?) if you get a chance, please.

I'm jealous, I'd really like to have a tool changer (besides me  ).

Gary,

What did you do over there in Marquette to cause all those mudslides over on the peninsula by Houghton?

Turned it 90 degrees to give better access to all sides.

First cuts in pink foam. The sound on the video is my pancake air compressor. the CNC machine is very quiet.

I use pink or blue foam for initial tests because it is much more forgiving if I get the speeds or feeds wrong, or if my Z is off. I'd rather drive the bit into foam than MDF.
