Bit selection for 18mm birch ply

Post by kevinl »

Anyone have a bit suggestion? Need somthing 1/4". Im not sure where I got the one ive been using but it seems to "sing" quite a bit. Also how many passes and feeds? My machine uses a router and not a spindle so not sure how far to push it.

hello Kevin

I have had good luck with www.vortextool.com if you order in some quanity they give you a discount. I have also used the bosch porter cable and freud ones. The vortex ones seem to "whine less" the portor cable ones where not to bad either and in a jam I buy those because home depot and Fllet Farm carries them in stock
