Reverse x and y axis on screen
I have a project that is 22" (x axis) x 48" ((y axis) with the design running parallel to the y axis. When displayed on the screen the design runs up and down the screen (difficult to edit and view). Is there any way I can reverse the view to have the y axis run right to left on the screen and the x axis top to bottom?

Re: Reverse x and y axis on screen
are you saying you can't rotate the 3d view or you can't rotate your vectors?
i don't think i'm following your question.

Re: Reverse x and y axis on screen
Richard,
rotate your design by:
- ctrl+a select all vectors
- hit R, select center and enter -90 degrees (- = clockwise)
now select material dimensions ( left icon on 2nd row ) and
set dimensions x with Y-value, y with X-value.
now select all vectors and center in material
job done
have fun,
John

Re: Reverse x and y axis on screen
Just to make sure you're aware of it, if you do this, your project will be rotated the same way when it gets to the machine.
I have the same problem, I generally work along the Y axis of the machine, so I have to rotate everything and re-generate all my tool paths once I'm done drawing.

Thanks guys.......sometimes we can't see the obvious
Re: Reverse x and y axis on screen
I did ask Vectric if they had plans for a "design view" which would only change the view and not the correct x / y orientation. They said no.
I have a Piranha and Y is the long axis on the machine.
When I first started I was attempting to design sideways. I then started swapping my x and y values during design and afterwards I rotate vectors and material 90 degrees before re-calculating tool paths.
This is a pain. I have a post here, a CNC Facebook group and Next Wave's forums for a way to reverse it on the machine. Swapping x and y at the controller will not work according to others.
I do wish Vectric would consider the ability to have different design views.
