Organizing Tool Paths

Post by olf20 »

I have done several searches but still have a quick question;
In using layers can one keep the tool paths with the respective
layers.
It sure would help if you did not have such a lengthy list of
tool paths.
Thanks for any help!!

Vector Selection
This area of the toolpath page allows you to automatically select vectors to machine using the vector's properties or position. It is also the method by which you can create Toolpath Templates to re-use your toolpath settings on similar projects in the future. For more information, see the sections Vector Selector and Advanced Toolpath Templates.

When associating layers with a toolpath (I do this all the time) be aware that if you “hide” the layer (turning off the light in the layers menu) and try to recalculate a toolpath you will receive an error. You must un-hide the layer before recalculating.

It drives me crazy (short drive apparently). I’d much rather the recalculate function ignores a layer’s hidden status. Grouping vectors from different layers can also cause problems.
