Sanding blocks

Post by gkas »

The other day I was watching Stumpy Nubs extolling the virtues of his new shaper. He was discussing having custom knives made. You also can get custom shaped sanding blocks that match the same profile made at the same time. I thought  WOW, I can cut custom sanding blocks with the CNC for any sanding profile I need. I'm going to have to give it a try.

Now that is a great idea! I wonder if the blocks will need to have tolerances for different grits? Maybe a finer grit paper is thinner than a courser grit.
