Profile cut interpreted as a plunge

Post by mgbates »

Hi, Im profile cutting some wooden spoons and on the final profile cut the conventional cut becomes a plunge. I've made several changes to try and resolve this including rebuilding the 3d model (Sketchup) and no change. Any thoughts or suggestions. VCarve Desktop v9 with LinuxCNC as the post processor.

Is this for a 3D toolpath or for a profile toolpath?

Have you got got a boundary offset specified for the 3D toolpath?

Really need to see the files in question to able to say 100% what is happening.
