I have found that regular cast acrylic is easily scratched. There is a mar-resistant acrylic that is much more resistant, HOWEVER, it doesn't cut very well with a V bit. Too gummy. I tried using a diamond drag tool on some, and it works like a charm.
Acrylite MR2 is the material.
