Cutout

Post by Dustnuri »

I'm having issue when cutting out a project. Do in I set the paths at the cutting depth of the bit and do fewer passes or is it wise on hard wood to increase the number of paths. With lesser depth cut??

Depends what the issue is really. The rule of thumb on the smaller machines is to set the pass depth to the tool radius so with a 1/4" bit your pass depth would be 1/8". Even with a shallower pass depth you might just be compensating for an incorrect feed rate.
