We've been using sawdust to clean poly and stain from our hands for years.
It works well for us. Maybe others might like to try it.
Also, we clean brushes this way. Yep, it works well too.

Please expand on that a little. I have used sawdust (man glitter) for wood filler, Floor absorbent, thread restorer and model railroad landscaping. But I have never heard of it being used to get stain off of your hands.

Hands wet with poly or stain.
Sawdust absorbs the wet poly or stain.
You folks will just have to try it.
Hands and brushes, both.

OT: gloves
I've been using chemical resistant gloves to prevent getting stain, "poly", nitro-cellulose lacquer, etc. on my hands for years. Works great.

If you have a wood screw that is stripped out just mix a little glue and sawdust push it into the screw hold and put your screw back in. Just dont overtighten and let the concoction set up when it cures you have new treads in the old stripped hole.COWBOY1296 wrote:gloves???? we dont need no stinkin gloves!
