Carving a sign larger than my machine footprint

I am carving some signs that I have to create in 2 setups as my footprint won't cover it in one. Is there a process for positioning the material for the second cut? Example is my cutting footprint is 15" x 15", and I want to cut a sign 20 inches long. How would I start and finish? Thanks.
