Evenly spaced objects

I know this is so simple....I need a series of 16 holes machined in a line 1/2 inch apart. How do I make the holes have even space between them without all the measuring and setting the helper lines? There has to be an easier way.....

You can create one circle desired size and use the linear array tool, just specify .500 offset X-Y and quantity in either rows or columns depending the orientation you wish.

Thank you so much!! I have been busy with other things and havent even started my machine in 6 months.....Big investment just to sit... Seems I have forgot a lot of the simple things.....Thanks again!!
