I have a board with a lot of holes to drill
120 holes in fact
12 holes in 10 rows across.
I want the router to use the selection order.
Is there an easier way to do this than clicking each an every hole?
Id I leave it for the computer to calculate, it comes up with some very strange order.
Also, sometimes I forget a hole and if I then ad it, when the router is finished the original toolpath, it jumps down and does the last one.
Is there a way to include the missing hole without having to click each and every hole again?
TIA

Re: Drilling Holes
There should be an option in the toolpath menu to "Use vector selection order".

Re: Drilling Holes
Wolfie..
The drilling toolpath will use either the creation order or the selected order.
You will either have to select them in the order you wish them to cut and check "Use vector selection order" or create them in the order you wish them to cut and then sweep select them.

Re: Drilling Holes
I just cut a 18 inch crib board with 120 (plus a few) holes, and even with the other stuff on it, it only took 45 minutes. I just "grouped" the holes and let the program decide how to cut. It jumped around a bit, but does that really matter? They were all drilled (.125 End Mill with peck drilling, 3/8" deep) with nothing missing.
I was happy as time wasn't really critical to the job.
What kind of time did it take you to drill?
