Will not cut finish file.
Starts at 000 and moves to center to start and just hovers.
Ruff cut is fine.Cleanup and cutout files are the problem.
Any ideas?Thanks.

Re: Will not cut finish file.
You will need to post either/both carve file and g code for anyone to be able to help.

Re: Will not cut finish file.
It could be that the finish toolpath file failed to save correctly. It could be that what you had selected when you created the toolpath was not selected. If bit the rough and finish toolpaths rendered properly in VCarve, then your problem is probably a bad save.

Does the cut simulation show you what is really happening?

Re: Will not cut finish file.
That would indicate it is not on the VCarve side....so...pure guesses...did you use the some post processor selection for both files? And in your machine control software, did you change any selections? If those selections are correct, I would go back to square one, and see if you can cut a simple shape.

Re: Will not cut finish file.
The only files that do not cut the finish are the v carve 8 and the DesignandMaker getting started .

Re: Will not cut finish file.
One last guess: try recalculating the finish tool path file.

Re: Will not cut finish file.
Sounds like the complete file is not saving. Are you using a thumb drive/memory card to transfer the files over? If so be sure to eject it properly using Windows first. If that doesn't do it try a different one as it might have a corruption on it.

Re: Will not cut finish file.
There may be one other possibility - you may have accidently set cut speed to zero or very close to zero. The preview will still work but your machine might appear to "die".

Thanks to all .Paul nailed it. Redid tool speed and it worked.

Re: Will not cut finish file.
Charles,
If your controller has a minimum cutting speed setting, you should set it to something greater than zero. Perhaps 0.1 in/sec???
I have a Shopbot and its controller has a minimum speed setting. If I make a mistake and try to use some ridiculous slow speed (usually due to a typo) the controller will put up a warning message to alert the operator.
If your speed had been 0.01 in/sec, you could have started a fire. Add in the effect of dust collection and there could have been a disaster in just seconds.

PS I keep a fire extinguisher just a few feet from my machine.
