Gidday.
I've noticed some very nice designs being posted here and was wondering what people where using to draw these in?
Also I would be interested in seeing more of what people are doing with their cncs.
I have been playing around with Vcarve trial and I'm very impressed with it and look forward to purchasing it.
Regards
Bart

Some of my examples are posted at:

The services we offer are carving of raised panel doors for cabinet shops. We have also had some work carving marble and limestone for fireplace installers.
I rely heavily on VectorArt Mega Collection Volume 1 for most of my stock images. http://www.vectorart.com/Mega_Collection/
I do some work in Open Ofice Draw http://www.openoffice.org/ and inShopbot's PartWizard http://www.shopbottools.com/sbsoftware.htm
I also have a graphic designer that I use on an occasional basis. His program of choice is Adobe Illustrator http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/main.html
Some clients provide me with their EPS or DXF files. The shop sending me the DXF files uses AutoCad.

Hi Wemme.
Don't hesitate about the VCW purchase. W-E-L-L worth the money. I wanted the software but my wife had to be "pushed" (we are a small home based business) by one of our customers. She did decide to purchase it and the software paid for itself in 1 week.
I use graphics from my collection of "The Big Box of Art". I use the Internet as a resource for stuff that I then retrace and modify using chiefly Corel Draw v.12. Sports magazines and catalogues are also resources I use.
Most of my products are custom ordered sports paraphernalia. <sp>Feel free to check out our blog site (free internet space) http://www.woodnmore.blogspot.com
Good luck with you endeavors.

Hi Phil.
No, I did not use VCW for this item as I do not think there is capabilities to to it. The program I used for this is called VS3D and is available from http://www.designscomputed.com. I had purchased that software prior to discovering VCW. Now I seldom look at VS3D. Nice effect, but cutting with a 1/16" ballmill on an 8x10" image takes FOREVER!! And I actually did a number of various images this way.
I have a Shopbot PRT96, and the kind folks at Shopbot have now included with their software a means of doing the exact same type of cutting. It does have it place in the market.
BTW, thanks for visiting our blog site.
