conversion to 3d

Post by brockadeau »

Hi- I have this image I got from my niece who is in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. She is assisting local growers in stting up a coop, and I would like to carve her a 3d sign, but have no idea how to convert something like this. Any ideas or help would be nuch appreciated-- Jack

That should be a fairly easy one for someone with artcam to do, but best thing to do is probably to contact James Booth at www.vectorart3d.com or www.carve3d.com. He can set you up with a ready to carve model for a very reasonable fee.

If you can wait until this weekend, I'll model it up for you. Won't have any free time until at least Saturday. If this is cool, please let me know.

Jason-- Paul did an awesome job of creating a .stl file, but I still need to purchase cut3D. If there is a way to convert this image (I have tried unsuccessfully with inkscape) for use with v-carve pro, then I might just go that route for now. Paul, thanks again for your help -- this forum is unbelievable-- full of great helpful people-- Thank You!! Jack
