Recent Project

Post by GripUs »

Hi Gang,
Just thought I would let you in on my latest "finished" project. I had some help from James B. on the banner, but the rest was a little skill and lots of luck.

I made his for a friend who is a recent graduate.

Regards,

Joe

Joe,

That looks great. Should be good for a free consult in the future.

Thanks for the good words, guys.

I always heard that it was 95% of attorneys that gave the rest of them a bad name

Hi Joe,

Lookin' Good!
It almost has a metallic kind of look to it, bronze almost,
what stains/wood are you using here?

Thanks,
Glenn

Thanks, Glenn,

The wood is walnut with no stain. We try real hard not to stain anything in our shop. Laziness, I think. I put one coat of sanding sealer, let it dry and just took the sheen off with a 220 sanding sponge. Then I brushed on one coat of Minwax Gloss Polyurethane. The bronze color comes from having only two places in my shop to take pictures...very, very dark, or with the sunlight coming right over my shoulder. Blame this one on the sunlight.

Regards,

Joe
