Re: Para wings
Very nice James, the feathers are great. I have to say, even with Aspires capabilities, I do still intend to buy all your collections eventually. Just have to get my new machine built first.

Re: Para wings
Grease - 100% modelled in Aspire. I would guess around 2 hours start to finish although I worked on it 15-30 mins here and there for a few days (not the ideal way to do this type of work)...

James

Re: Para wings
I modelled it on the Very High resolution setting as I knew the lines on the parachute would not hold up well if the res was not high enough. Thanks for the kind words,
James

Re: Para wings
Sorry Joe, you should know that 2 or 3 days in Canada at todays exchange is a week in the US... Actually I just forget I said I would do it that quickly and put some others up first (some nice Dasch models). I will add it Monday now, sorry again for the delay.
Thanks,
James

Re: Para wings
James, that is really nice work – Just some extra info…..there are 3 basic levels of jump wings for the US military; wings without a star, with a star, with a wreath. A modification is made with additional Bronze or Gold stars indicating (Combat Jumps). Each service has a little different setup but overall the stars and wreaths are the same. Again nice work, I hope you will be adding a wreath, that way it can be modified to represent all levels of qualification.
Here is a site that better explains what these badges indicate.

Re: Para wings
Thanks for the extra info, the guy who had me work on the "standard" wings also wants me to do the wreath too. It is in the works and should come later this week

Re: Para wings
hi
great looking stuff... i like the wing details... i just work on the last supper... and i just wondering on detail... james, just keep up this way...
for the last supper i choosed some larger size, 700x200 mm, but still the 3/32 bit looks rough for... so i guess it can carry out abot 60-80 inch lenght when already the 1/8 bit enough...
james, you all can be pride for, as modeled the supper...
