Re: Cribbage Boards
Unfortunately, the deer image cannot be shared. This is addressed in detail on page 2 of this thread and I have copied James' post here that explains the situation:Would you send me the files to make the cribbage board with the deer
Just to let everyone know - the deer in the first board is a Vector Art 3D model. I have PM'd the author of this thread to make sure he knows he should not be sending this part off the design (although I have not heard back from him). The design is part of the clipart that comes with Aspire so if you have Aspire you already have that model so can set it up yourself. If your not an Aspire owner you can buy it from here if you want to use it: http://www.vectorart3d.com/store/index. ... l&ID=50052
Thanks,
James

Re: Cribbage Boards
James, your boards are great! well done.
I have not been brave enough yet to try and insert one of my relief carvings into my boards that I have made.
Would you care to take me throught the process of ensuring a nice fit.
I would like to inlay the 'Golfer'
Many thanks
George

Hi, I think I posted to Jame istead of yourself.
Your boards are very nice. I have have made a few but never been brave enough to attempt inlaying one of Jame's 3D reliefs. I'd like to inlay the 'Golfer'
Would you care to share your process of ensuring a nice fit. Some inlaid designs seem to have a border around them which is confusing me a little.
Many thanks
George

Re: Cribbage Boards
Ditto on the process. I've run one crib board using a deer from VectorArt3D and love it but would like to know the inlay, too. You have inspired me...thanks!!
Re: Cribbage Boards
I know this is a little old now, but I would love to get a copy of the design with the deer. Or at least the outer cribbage board ring and a blank inner circle if you can't send the deer. I should be able to find the deer if it is included with Aspire. I really want to use this design to make a cribbage board for my Father.
Thank you!

Re: Cribbage Boards
My mother just asked me to make her a cribbage board. I have not made one yet. Can someone post the file for a round board and the S shaped board. She would like a sea shell carved in it. I am thinking a round one with one shell or an S shape with 2 shell carvings. Also what is a good bit for the holes and the drill setting. I have not used that tool type of tool path. Thanks for you help.

Re: Cribbage Boards
if you follow this video it is pretty easy. If you search for cribbage boards and go thru the posts there are a couple of files, but it is faster to make your own.
You'll need to decide how many tracks you want and if you want a once-around board or twice around board.

Re: Cribbage Boards
How would a person locate a cribbage board file in the Vectric Forum?
I have heard there are several cribbage board files, but when I enter "cribbage" or "cribbage file" in the search bar, I get lots of posts about making cribbage boards but have not found any files.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
