Yet, another one of my jewelry boxes!

You guys are probably getting bored with my jewelry boxes..
But, here is my latest!
I think one of my best!

It is made from Padauk.
Lots of red stuff in my shop, clothes, body, etc!

The eggs are Zebra wood!
I just formed them on my mini lathe.

Did all the modeling and designing in Aspire!

When you do some of your smaller pieces, what do do to keep the pieces from moving? Is it lots of shallow passes with small bits, vacuum, tape..? I just finished my router and I know already that this will be one of my dilemmas...

Hi Johnny,
Just my 2 cents worth. For my real small items, I use hot glue and squirt denatured alcohol around them to release them. Larger items I use either cam-lock clamps or bolt them down.

I am sure the real pros on here have better methods, but this works for me.

That is a really nice piece of work. Except for the Cardinal.......Being from the Pittsburgh, I would suggest changing the Cardinal to something a little different. Maybe the PITTSBURGH STEELERS LOGO.

The bird on the top........is it vee carved over the top of a basic shape?

The whole cover was designed in Aspire.
Pretty simple actually.
Just created some shapes.
Then did a V-carve of my bird path.
Thank god for the project toolpath onto 3D model!

Gotta go, designing my next one!
