yes it is good both ways. mine was a pain to get to cut and fit. though mine is 36" tall but it is a good side by side and two different ways to do something. myself I could never draw it out but I took the eps file and modified it a fair amount.Rcnewcomb wrote:In this case I think it was helpful because is is the same design and size but done with a different finish.By the way, it is very poor form to show your work on a thread someone else started.

Wow that is the perfect finish for that. I am working on a clock for a xmass present for my father, I'm cutting it out of 3/4 MDF and that finish is exactly what I had in mind. If you don't mind what exactly is that silver and how did you apply it?
Thanks for your time

Re: Porsche Plaque
I believe he said it was "Sculpt Nouveau Sliver C with black patina".
He stated it in the beginning of the post..
Here is a link to a pdf about it..

I have never used it, but it is on my list of finishes..
Very cool..

Re: Porsche Plaque
I highly recommend people try Sculpt NouveauIf you don't mind what exactly is that silver and how did you apply it?
I spoke to them on the phone to get hints on application before I started this project. They were extremely helpful -- almost as good as the Vectric team.
The finish process was:
1. Diamond Vogel primer
2. Silver B
3. Light sanding
4. 2nd coat of silver B
5. light sanding
6. wash of general black patina -- very dilute
7. silver C
8. Light sanding
9. 2nd coat of Silver C
10. polish with steel wool
A cheap foam brush turned out to be the best for application.
