Mantels - Carved

Post by JamesB »

Scott Cox sent me these images of a couple of the Vector Art 3D Mantels carved on his ShopBot. Why are they relevant here? Both the main files were created with Aspire using individual models from the website. These were put into position, copied, edited and sculpted as required to make the entire scene. Scott took this a stage further and actually took a model of a Mare and Foal from the website and added it into the standard woodland scene using Aspire.
Thanks to Scott for sharing these.
Cheers,
James

James, tell Scott excellent work. Any chance these new "Aspire" models could be made available thru your website?

Benefits?
More items for you to sell without the design work/time,
(I need to think this out! Anyone want to help?)
People that are good at design could make some $ from just design.
Work out a split sales commission thru James web site with designer and James.
Of course James would have final say on what went on his site or even open a extra page with open supplier designs, no association or guarantee from him.
Other benefits???

(Quick note here: I plan to buy Aspire prior to the update deadline, but I work one full time job, remodel houses evenings/weekends, and bought my cnc routers to support my remodeling, which has now turned into another job! I don't have time to "design" new models! When someone asks me to cut them something, I show them James web site and tell them to pick one or get out of my.... okay, I'm not going there. I hope you get the idea, right now, in my life, its more efficient for me to buy a design, then to make it myself. And I think there are others out there in the same position. But for those who are good at design and have the time, can there be an avenue for them and the "Makers" of Aspire to work together for the benefit of both?)

I know I just sent this post in a weird direction, but this has been on my mind since Aspire was released. I didn't mean to step on James post. And if James wants to wants to move this response to it's own post or just delete it, he has my okay.
