Deer Scene

Post by moto633 »

I cut the deer scene last night and this morning.

It's 11in tall and 8in wide cut into a 1.75 thick slab of cherry. I used a strait 2flute .25 bit to rough that took 2hrs. I then used an .125 rotozip saber bit for the finish pass set at 6% stepover @ 50ipm but watching the DRO it never got above about 30.and that took a HOLE!@!#!%$!#% OF time 10 hrs total there were over 300,000 lines of code.

I had to stop the router last night at 11pm because i didn't want it to run while I was asleep...........

I restarted it at 6am and finished..................................

Any one have any hints or tricks to make this go a little quicker? That scene does have alot of details.

Thanks,
Nick
